This major transformation involved a complete rebuild to remodel the entire building into a stunning, contemporary home.
We’re calling at a new build as the first phase involved totally stripping out the property, back to the bare walls (and in some cases the joists!) We then opened out the lower floor and built a super-modern, highly insulated extension, massively increasing the floor area. We used stunning slate-grey, triple-glazing to flood the new space with natural light while blocking cold and noise.
Interior fit-out
Moving onto the interior fit-out phase, we fully rewired and re-plumbed the home to take advantage of modern energy efficient heating and lighting. We installed a wood-burning stove in the new downstairs space to give open-fire warmth and ambience, without the mess and draughts. For the flooring, we used a combination of stunning ceramic tiles and natural wood to create contrast and warmth, contrasting beautifully with the painting and decoration (which we did too!). We fully installed the bathrooms and bedrooms with super-modern furniture including wet-rooms with pumped showers, walk-in wardrobes and fitted designer furniture. All tiles and finishes were carefully chosen with our expert advice to complete this gorgeous home to the delight of the owners.
